Mary McColoughMary has been studying, teaching and creating art for the past 30 years. For the past ten years, she has worked from her studio at Common Space on Reynolds Rd. in Toledo, Ohio. Best known for her colorful, abstracted work in watermedia, she also creates art incorporating the printmaking technique of linoprint.

 

After graduating from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor in Art Education, Mary earned her Master of Arts degree in art and taught high school for sixteen years. She has also taught adult painting classes in both watercolor and acrylics.

 

Mary has exhibited her artwork in a number of notable shows and exhibitions, including: Roots of Diversity, University of Toledo’s Art on the Mall, and the STRS Yearly exhibition in Columbus, Ohio, to name a few. One of her mixed-media paintings was recently the focus on the set of “Coffee with the Fords” on WTVG-13. She is a member of the Toledo Artists’ Club, Northwest Ohio Art Education Association and UT alumni association. She has studied with Sylvania artist Don Townsend and has had a solo exhibition at the Croswell Opera House in Adrian, Michigan.
